OB & MFM appointments

Today we had an OB and an MFM appointment! The OB appointment was short and sweet. My BP, urine, & weight gain were normal. My belly measured right on track and Gabe's heartbeat was 144! The MFM appointment went well too! Gabe weighed 3lbs 2 oz! Over all, he is still measuring small, so we will have another ultrasound in 3 weeks and possibly a non-stress test. The biophysical profile came back just fine ... he was moving around and practicing breathing movements, as he should! We were unable to capture good pictures of him this time because of his position, so hopefully next appointment we will see his sweet little face! Thank you again to all of our family and friends for your love and support you have shown us through out our pregnancy!! XOXO

Anderson Orchard

Every fall we look forward to visiting our favorite orchard ... Anderson Orchard! The weather was perfect! We love picking our own apples (and sharing an elephant ear afterwards!) : ) Adam's parents, sister, and our nephew Cooper joined us!

Just his size ... he's not quite sure what to do with it! : )

OB appointment

Today, I had my last monthly OB appointment. We now start visiting the OB every 2 weeks! I can't believe how fast the last 6 to 8 weeks have gone! I had to drink glucola before this appointment so they could test for Gestational Diabetes. I spilled +2 glucose in my urine, which might be an indication that I will have to do the fasting glucose test. I should find out on Monday what my results are. Yikes!! Hopefully everything will come back ok! Gabe's heartbeat sounded great and my belly was measuring a week ahead! My blood pressure and weight gain have been great, too! Our next appointment will be at the MFM clinic on September 30th for our BPP/ultrasound.
My OB kind of brought me back to reality this appointment. We talked about his growth and what his last measurements mean. She believes that he will soon stop growing and be considered "growth restricted". She is concerned that with our + Quad screen, his potential VSD, and his growth restriction that he could still have a chromosomal issue and brought up once again the idea of doing an amniocentesis. Ugh!! I'm not going to hide the fact that I left this appointment feeling pretty upset, but Adam and I talked that afternoon and I felt much better. We feel that he is going to be fine, maybe a little small, but nothing we can't handle! We know everything is in God's hands and we try to leave it at that! So, once again, a roller coaster of emotions!!

Our New Glider!

Today, our new swivel glider was delivered! We were nervous about ordering something off of the internet, not being able to sit in it and see it in person, but it is WONDERFUL! It is so comfy ... it reclines too! We can't wait to rock Gabe in it!!

LOVE IT!!

27 Weeks and 5 Days

Today, we had another appointment at the MFM clinic for an ECHO and ultrasound. Gabe's heartbeat was 138 BPM and he measured 2lbs 5 oz! His abdominal measurement was only in the 6th percentile, so our next appointment will be in 3 weeks and we will do a Biophysical profile, which will include another ultrasound. This will determine how well my placenta is working and if he is getting the oxygen/nutrients he needs. The ECHO showed a possible Ventricular Septal Defect, a hole between the ventricles in his heart, so we will have to do another ECHO in 5 weeks with another ultrasound. If the VSD is still there, it will possibly have to be surgically corrected at 4 to 6 months of age. We have a lot we are praying about for our little guy!

Cute little feet!

We didn't have much to work with today ... Gabe kept pushing his face against a wall, smashing it. So, it was hard to get a good picture! Rotten!!
