Trip to Florida

We just got home yesterday from our annual vacation in Orlando, FL. This was Gabe's first trip! Adam and his parents drove down and Gabe and I flew to meet them the next day. I was nervous to fly with a 5 month old, but Gabe did GREAT! Luckily, Adam's friend was able to upgrade me to business class on the way down and back, so that made it SOOOOO NICE! The seats were HUGE and comfy, so it was a piece of cake! (Thanks Matt!!!) The weather was beautiful, only rainy on our last day. We enjoyed our usual Disney stops (Epcot, Downtown Disney), our favorite restaurant, Bahama Breeze (I won't tell you how many times we ate there), and lots of shopping! We lounged by the pool a few days and played putt putt as well! It was definitely different vacationing with a baby ... being on his schedule, etc ... but we had a really good time!

Baby Brunch

Today, a bunch of us got together to celebrate the next 2 little ones coming into the world!! Baby Drew Black & Baby Boy Young! We had a yummy brunch and cake while Carissa and Amy opened up some great baby gifts!! It was fun to have everyone together! Can't wait to meet the sweet baby boys!

Burp Cloths

I have been busy lately making burp cloths for my friends and my primaries at work. I enjoy sewing and one of my many favorite things to sew are burp cloths. They are very practical, relatively inexpensive, easy to make, and pretty cute! If anyone needs a great gift to give, let me know! Here are a few pics of the last sets I have made

He Weighs How Much??

I took Gabe to his pediatrician yesterday for his synagis ... he weighs 15 lbs 8 oz! I couldn't believe it!! He was 24 3/4 in long ... he is growing like a weed!! I forgot to ask about his percentile, but I think it is safe to say he is moving up on the grid! Yay!!

The weather was BEAUTIFUL today! I'm going to say it over and over, I'm sure ... it is so nice to finally be able to get out of the house!! We took about a 45 min walk today ... I know Hunter appreciated it! Gabe slept most of the walk, so it was pretty peaceful.




I just LOVE him to pieces!

I am excited to walk/run the trails this year with Gabe ... he seems to like his stoller :)

5 Months!

Gabe is 5 months old today! I can't believe how fast this past month went by ... wow! Our little man continues to change every day, it is truly amazing to watch! Some days I come home from work and I swear he is different from when I left him just 14 hours before! He is a wonderful baby ... easy going, bright spirit, and so much fun!
Here is what Gabe has been up to ...

*Rolling over (still just from his tummy to his back)
*Jibber Jabbering ALL the time
*Starting to belly laugh (absolutely the best sound EVER!)
*Always has a smile hiding for you somewhere ... well, almost always!
*Sucking on his hands
*Grabbing toys and bringing them to his mouth
*We are working on sitting up and strengthening muscles
*Loves to stand on your lap and bounce
*Still loves his bath time
*Can drink from a sippy cup
*Mostly wearing 3-6 month clothes, but 0-3 month onesies still fit

I'm sure I'm leaving some things out, but you get the idea! I haven't had a chance to take all of his 5 month pics, so check back soon! I'll post what I was able to take today, but they didn't turn out very well ...
