3 Months!

Our sweet baby girl is 3 Months old!!  Her personality is really starting to blossom!  Here is just a quick look at what she is up to ...

*Mornings seem to be her favorite time of day.  She is so smiley when she wakes up, regardless of how she feels.  She loves when her big brother tells her good morning!
*She is starting to laugh, really belly laugh.  One of the greatest sounds on earth to hear a baby & child laugh!
*She loves to suck on her hands and hardly ever takes a paci right now
*She is starting to kick her legs and move her arms when she is excited
*LOVES when we read to her.  She stares so intently at the pages
*Babbling more and more ... she loves talking to her toys on her play mat!
*Still enjoys her bath time
*LOVES her swing
*She is sleeping 8-9 hrs at night, a few nights with set backs due to her recent ear infection
*She loves standing on laps and loves to look around ... she is a nosey little girl!
*She fights her nap time, she doesn't want to miss anything I guess!

I'm sure I've left some things out, but I think I hit the highlights :)
Stay tuned for her monthly picture with her bunny!

She was not the happiest when I took this ... wonder why?? :)

Pretty Girl

I just love this little girl's squishy cheeks and sweet expressions :)  She's a happy girl

Most of my photo shoot ended up blurry because she won't stay still :(  I had to delete quite a few favorites ... I have a lot to improve on when it comes to taking pictures

I Love Spring

Oh, how we've missed you, Spring!  What is it about a house that is filled with the sweet breezes of spring?  Sigh!  The weather has been just beautiful and we have made sure to enjoy every ounce of it!  Gabe loves being outside and would sleep in his rain boots if we let him!  I took a few pictures a couple weeks ago of our trees blooming ... so pretty!  My husband has done an amazing job on our yard.  Just look at the pictures and you will see ...

Our house around this time last year ...

Annnnnnd now ...

Ignore the bottom right corner ... the dandelions and bald spots are in our neighbors yard :)

Crazy different, right??  Well, it was a lot of work and money, but we got it back.  I say we, but my husband did most of the work.  I was out there a few times helping him rack the dead stuff up, but that's about the extent of it!  We are pretty proud of our yard now, one of the best in the neighborhood instead of the worst LOL.

I wish the blooms lasted longer than they do ...
So pretty!

Our rose bush ... can't wait for the blooms!

Happy Easter!

Well, I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter and the joy of Jesus in their hearts!  We enjoyed the weekend with our families ... My sister and fam came up from TN and spent the whole weekend with us!  It is so nice having them so close now ... we have seen them more in these past few months than we have in the past 2 years!  We are looking forward to spending a lot of weekends there out on the lake this summer!

I have fond memories of spending the night before Easter at my grandma's house coloring eggs with all of my cousins, and then hunting them the next day in her yard, so we have started the same tradition with our kids ... this year being the first!  The kids had a great time, Brinn especially!  I think the boys will be more into it when they get a little older.  :)

We had a great Easter service at church, but unfortunately Adam and I weren't able to enjoy much of it.  Gabe hadn't been feeling well with a cold/cough and was having a hard time in his class, so just before the sermon I had to go in with him and leave Abby with Adam.  Well, a few minutes later Adam and Abby were at the door to his class because she started making too much noise LOL  So, I spent Easter Sunday in Gabe's classroom and Adam spent it walking the halls with Abby.  At least we were able to get a LITTLE praise and worship in before the meltdown.  After church we made a quick stop at Starbucks and then off to Didi and Grumpy's house to hunt Easter eggs.  We enjoyed a yummy dinner with family in the afternoon and spent the rest of the day relaxing!

Gabe pushed a little too hard, he just couldn't resist LOL!

Can you find the cracked egg??!

Hopefully my sister was able to capture better pictures ... these are NOT good!

Heigh-Ho Heigh-Ho ...

it's off to work I go :(

Tomorrow will be my first day back to work since the end of November when I was put on bed rest. I'm not going to lie, I'm anxious.  Anxious that I may have lost my skills, anxious that so many things have changed, anxious that I have a LOT to catch up on (NRP, CPR, PALS ... just to name a few!)  I LOVE being a NICU nurse and the girls I work with are AMAZING, so I'm excited to get back to it, but I'm dreading leaving my sweet little ones.  Sigh, tear ... We are so very blessed to have my parents and Adam's parents to watch our children.  I would probably be a blubbering mess if not.  Just knowing that I'm leaving them with people that love them (ALMOST) as much as I do is a huge relief. :)  I can't thank them enough for their help.

I am going to be supplemental at St. Vincent in the NICU and at IU West in PEDS ... hopefully working part time/full time hours with out the weekends.  We shall see how it works out

So, onto a brighter note ...
these baby thighs!!!

I love me some baby thighs and toosh :)

 Such a sweet big brother!
This makes Gabe's hands look giant ... he's no longer my tiny baby :(
Check out these size 10 boats LOL
He has changed so much these past few months ... his new thing is "what is that?"
