27 Weeks and 5 Days

Today, we had another appointment at the MFM clinic for an ECHO and ultrasound. Gabe's heartbeat was 138 BPM and he measured 2lbs 5 oz! His abdominal measurement was only in the 6th percentile, so our next appointment will be in 3 weeks and we will do a Biophysical profile, which will include another ultrasound. This will determine how well my placenta is working and if he is getting the oxygen/nutrients he needs. The ECHO showed a possible Ventricular Septal Defect, a hole between the ventricles in his heart, so we will have to do another ECHO in 5 weeks with another ultrasound. If the VSD is still there, it will possibly have to be surgically corrected at 4 to 6 months of age. We have a lot we are praying about for our little guy!

We didn't have much to work with today ... Gabe kept pushing his face against a wall, smashing it. So, it was hard to get a good picture! Rotten!!
