Our Dearest Abby,
Happy, Happy Birthday love! Your first year has flown by and you are changing DAILY! We are so very blessed to be your parents and big brother. You are an amazing little girl, so sweet, snuggly, lovable, and fun. From your little smirks that scrunch up your nose and squint your eyes, to your little head shakes "no" when you know you are doing something you shouldn't ... all just to see our reaction. Oh, how quickly you picked up walking ... out of the blue you took 10 steps and haven't stopped since! Your love for all things soft and cute melts our hearts ... we love hearing you "aaawwww" over things and seeing you "hug" them. Music usually moves you to shake your booty and bounce a little, doesn't matter what type! You are so happy in the mornings and ready to go, you always point to the door and mutter your little syllables, as if you are saying "come on mom, let's get a move on!! Where's Gabe??" Books continue to be a love of yours, doesn't matter what it is ... you love backing into our laps to read. You are great at turing the pages! Bath time with your brother is always big fun. You splash around and squeal a lot! You are going to be a fish this summer along with your brother, I'm sure. You try to mimic lots of our words, I've heard you say Dada, kitty, DeeDee, hi, Ga (for Gabe) ... still no mama, but you are getting close :) Itsy Bitsy Spider is a favorite, you picked up the hand motions so quick. Your spider is adorable! You have no problem trying new foods. I think you have liked pretty much everything, even our salmon burgers. You know how to put your food away! You continue to use your signs for more, all done, milk, and eat. Still working on lots more. You love your big chair we got you for your birthday! Big hit!
Abbers, Abby Dabby, Abby Dabby Doo ... we love you! More than words can say ... you are a joy. Your little soul might be just a tiny light in this world, but you sure make our family shine bright! Oh, how God has blessed us! We are looking forward to watching you grow and develop in to the beautiful little girl that God created you to be.
